The City of Dunwoody's offices are located in an office building near Perimeter Mall. The offices have housed the city since its founding in 2008. Offices include administration, police, community development, finance, the municipal court, human resources, public works, parks and recreation, economic development and the city council meeting chambers.
The city, which was founded in 2008 with a vote from area residents, has a population of around 40,000. The city council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
