Entering Creek View Elementary School, the first person encountered might be one of the many parent volunteers who help out during regular school hours. Volunteers must go to school for training, too, though classroom readers don't need the class. The PTA is actively involved at Creek View, helping with blood drives, fund raisers and other activities at the school. Like most of today's schools, Creek View is a single-story building, making all parts accessible. Standardized test scores for students continue to exceed national, state and county averages. In 2009-2010, it was the only elementary school to produce a Shakespeare performance. Nearby Alpharetta High provides students who serve as peer facilitators, mentors and tutors.
