G3ict, also known as the Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technologies, is an advocacy initiative launched in December 2006 by the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development. In cooperation with the Secretariat for the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at UN DESA, G3ict aims to promote digital inclusion through ICT procurement policies, standards, and technical resources. They work with experts in the field to develop accessibility policies, benchmark progress in implementation, and provide capacity building programs for governments and advocates.
G3ict also organizes the M-Enabling Summit, an annual flagship event that fosters innovation and promotes accessible technologies and environments for all. Through their division IAAP, they offer professional resources and certification in ICT accessibility, building accessibility skills. With a global network of disability and accessibility leaders, G3ict is dedicated to bridging the disability divide and advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities worldwide.
