History
Hygge is tucked away in the Trustees' Garden which has always been an integral part of the history of Savannah. From 1733 to 1748 Trustees' Garden was used as an experimental garden where peaches, rice, cotton, grapes, flax, hemp, indigo, olives, and mulberry trees, which were essential to silk culture, were grown. Be sure to take a stroll when you visit!
Specialties
Hygge is a cheerful little home and lifestyle shop where you can find sustainable and ethically made goods that bring a sense of happiness and wellbeing into your home, body and mind. The name Hygge, pronounced 'hue-gah,' is the Danish word for that warm and fuzzy feeling we get when we are cozy and happy; curled up in our favorite blanket, sipping on a hot cup of tea, our favorite music filling the air. It's about slowing down and enjoying the subtleties of life.
