As a small museum, we mainly focus on prehistoric through medieval African history. We are devoted to displaying unique and diverse art forms that tell or contributes to a story. Our carefully curated private collection attempts to impart our knowledge and ideas, and instill excitement and imagination in our visitors. The purpose of the Ancient African History Museum is to educate children and adults on the contributions of African people and African civilizations. The museum uses various art forms and creates exhibits beyond the usual pre-historic tools and daggers often seen at other museums; moreover ancient and pre-colonial African history is minimally taught in educational institutions. The museum was founded to fill this void, first conceptualized in 2016 and opened in 2018. The Ancient African History Museum strives to create a historical balance of African history.
