Piedmont Technical College
Piedmont Technical College is one of the leading providers of higher education in the United States. Operational for more than 40 years, Piedmont has campuses in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry and Saluda, S.C. governed by the South Carolina State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the college enrolls more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. Its courses include horticulture, landscape management, business management, office systems technology, computer science, graphic designing, desktop publishing, illustration certificate, and microcomputer software specialist certificate programs. The college also offers majors in photography, computer aided drafting and designing, electronic, general and mechanical engineering, nursing, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, and surgical technology. Additionally, it provides certificate courses in the areas of basic emergency medical technician, dental hygiene, health information management, medical coding and billing, and phlebotomy technician.
