Founded in 1940 to provide secure transportation of petroleum during World War II, Plantation Pipe Line Company serves as an interstate carrier of refined petroleum products, including various grades of motor and aviation gasoline, commercial and military jet fuels, heating oils and diesel fuels. The company operates more than 3,100 miles of pipeline throughout the Southeast United States. Its nearly 30 delivery points distribute more than 600,000 barrels each day and are connected to more than 130 shipper terminals in eight U.S. states. The company s products are manufactured by nine refineries in Mississippi and Louisiana. Plantation Pipe Line Company has headquarters in Alpharetta, Ga.
