Redeemer Presbyterian Church's old sanctuary is showing some years on it. The church itself, though large in presence, sits in the shadows of the Denney Tower Projects across the street. The Redeemer congregation is involved in a wide range of outreach programs in the Athens area including after school programs for school children, a pregnancy center, and an ESL program. Numerous other programs and opportunities for volunteering and fellowship exist and groups meet throughout Athens almost daily.
