HistoryAlliance Paper & Food Service was founded on March 1,1954 by Ted Karp. Ted was a local paper merchant who grew up in the paper industry and decided to jump at the opportunity to become an independent businessman. On May 5, 1986 a group of investors, Flat Enterprises Inc. led by Brian Flynn, acquired the company. In 2002 the company expanded into its new office and main warehouse in Franklin Park, Illinois. The company now operates two cash & carry stores - one at 1345 S. Ashland Ave in Chicago, and our newest store in Addison at 800 S. Rohwling Rd. In February of 2012, Schweppe, Inc located in Lombard was acquired by Alliance Paper & Food Service Equipment. This operation was relocated to the Rohwing Rd. location in 2016.
