History
Wayne K.'s parents purchased the property from the Hermann family in the 1950's (approx). Many families came out from the city's south side to settle in the village, then known as Fox River Valley Gardens. Wayne purchased it from his mother in 1984. Now, the village is called Port Barrington. The Nielsen Channels run throughout the village, providing water access to the Fox River between Rawson Bridge and the Lake County Fox River Forest Preserve & Marina.
