Illinois Welding School's Romeoville campus has been open since 1997. In 2008, it was purchased by owner and president Debra Glanton. The school provides classes and hands-on training for students who want to learn the trade of welding. The school offers different welding programs in structural, production and pipe welding. Eighty percent of class time is spent in the school's welding shop and 20 percent is spent in the classroom. This school offers financial aid assistance and is recognized by the American Welding Society. The Illinois Welding School has the on-site facilities and experience to shape a student into an expert welder. Course offerings include a 10-week production program, a 15-week structural welding program, a 20-week pipe-welding program and an all-inclusive four-month program. Students can also enroll in one-week refresher or two-week beginner courses. The school offers both morning and evening classes. New sessions begin every five weeks.
