Lake County High Schools Technology Campus, established in 1977 and located in Grayslake, Ill., is one of the leading vocational training institutions in the Midwest. More than 20 high schools representing over 1,800 high school students throughout Lake and McHenry counties participate in its programs. It provides a wide range of study programs, including cosmetology, culinary arts, certified nurse assisting, medical assisting, photographic design, graphic and Web design, television production, industrial and manufacturing, and automotive service. The school has various organizations and programs that include National Technical Honors Society, student ambassador, student of the quarter, student of the year, world class student, and preferred graduates. Lake County High Schools Technology Campus partners with various companies, including Abbott Laboratories, DaimlerChrysler, Hewitt Associates, Panasonic, Sunset Auto Service, Volkswagen of America, and Westwood College of Technology.
