Urgent Care As part of our suite of services, we ALSO provide readily accessible and immediate Urgent Care services to our communities as a better alternative to the ER when your injury or illness is non life threatening or when you are unable to meet with a primary care physician.

Dr. Mehul Garala (USHW Medical Director) received his undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA and then obtained his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. After finishing his intern year at the latter institution, he did his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia/Cornell in New York City. Dr. Garala then pursued additional fellowship training in Spine and Sports Medicine in Elmhurst, IL. Dr. Garala is boarded certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Sports Medicine. As a result of his training, he is able to provide comprehensive care for all musculoskeletal injuries, including the spine, for which he also performs spinal injections. Alan L. Sisson, MD, RPh (USHW Staff Physician) is a graduate of the Drake University College of Pharmacy in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Registered Pharmacist, he practiced clinical pharmacy while attending the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He underwent residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Miami (FL) Affiliated Hospitals and in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation in Ohio. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has practiced medicine for over 35 years, including in the Emergency Departments of Level 1 Trauma Centers at university medical centers.
