Founded in 1891 by the Evangelical Covenant Church, North Park University is located in Chicago and enrolls more than 3,000 students from throughout the country and around the world. The university has a faculty of more than 125 and has a student-teacher ratio of 12-to-1. It offers undergraduate majors in several subjects, including advertising, media planning, biology, management, marketing, nonprofit management, global studies, philosophy, physics, politics and government, psychology and Spanish. Additionally, the university offers graduate programs in business and nonprofit management, nursing, community development and music. North Park University houses various cultural studies centers on its campus that include study centers for Africana, Korean, Latino, Middle Eastern and Scandinavia. The University offers financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and work-study funds.
