History
Oak Park Behavioral Medicine LLC was started by Tiffany Taft, PsyD and Stephanie Horgan, LCSW. We both share a passion for helping people with a chronic illness, and while working at Camp Oasis - a camp dedicated to children affected by Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, we crafted our plans to go into business together in the Chicago suburbs. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with chronic physical illness so they are themselves first, patients second. We are in-network providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Cigna, Aetna, and Medicare, and out-of-network providers for other plans that allow you to choose your providers (usually not HMOs). For those with financial limitations, we offer sliding scale fees.
Specialties
We specialize in helping people who live with a chronic illness, such as diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, and cancers. We work with kids and adults, as well as parents and siblings of kids affected by an illness. We are here to help you cope with any struggles you may be having including depression or anxiety, relationship issues, work issues, or managing your treatments. Our clinicians have years of experience working with children and adults with chronic digestive conditions. We offer individual therapy, medical hypnotherapy, individual weight loss treatments, bariatric surgery evaluations and post-surgery support. For people living in Illinois but not located near Chicago, we offer online telemental health treatment so we can provide much needed services to those who may not have access to treatment.
