History
In April of 1949, the original Heuer's Restaurant opened and included five private banquet halls, a dinning room, and a cocktail lounge. It was operated by the families of Red Heuer, son of Clarence and Kathryn, and George Eggert until July of 1985, when the building was torn down as the village expanded its municipal parking facilities. Red Heuer found the current building in Richmond and decided it would make a great new Heuer's. With his son Patrick, they opened June 10, 1988 with a limited menu. Now our menu is changing as is our building. Once again we are providing our famous old family recipes served for many years at both restaurants. Featuring personally selected and hand cut Black Angus steaks. The rededication of the business to honor the memory of Red Heuer and all he accomplished has been a labor of love. Red passed away in 2010 but his family decided to put a new face on the business that was his pride and joy.
