The mission is to make bodywork available to help people reconnect with there body, balance the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems, and decrease the stress response since each of these are correlated with progressive health issues.
Specialties
The Body Therapy Shop provides therapeutic massage, bodywork and physical therapy. The bodywork techniques offered are a result of extensive college curriculum, continuing education and clinical experience. Owner, Ricky Cummings, is Illinois licensed as both a Physical and Massage Therapist. The bodywork services he provides includes Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Muscle Release Technique, Swedish, Primal Reflex Release Techniques, Trigger Point Release and Neuromuscular Therapy. He is dedicated to help clients relieve stress-induced muscle or joint pain, rediscover their body awareness , and improve their physical ability leading to greater comfort with daily activities and a higher quality of life.
