Founded in 1951, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago, also known as UCP, is a nonprofit organization that offers health care services for individuals with physical and cognitive and economic disabilities. It provides educational programs for professionals, families, children and adults with disabilities. The organization offers Durable Medical Exchange, Respitality and early intervention programs. It conducts training in cooking, cleaning, personal care and money management. The organization provides job- and work-related social skills development services for adults. UCP employs therapists, nurses, social workers and rehabilitation aides. It also organizes a variety of recreational activities, such as parties, picnics and sports. United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago maintains a location in Tinley Park, Ill.
