On November 11 REALTORS representing the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of REALTORS ( LBAR ) visited Bourbon County elementary schools and presented a character-building children's book. The schools received How the Moon Regained her Shape by award-winning author Janet Ruth Heller. In its third year, Melissa Poynter, the chair of LBAR Community Education Task Force, has continued to lead this project. REALTOR Trey McCallie was also in attendance and read at each of the three schools. This contribution to Bourbon County is part of a larger donation to the public and private elementary schools in the Bluegrass region' LBAR will be presenting the book to 110 elementary schools in the region. The project is part of LBAR's goal to become involved with the area's school systems in innovative ways that will positively shape the future of our community's children.
