For more than 50 years, Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church (CMPC) has been serving Columbia and the surrounding areas. CMPC offers the Alpha Program and LOGOS Youth program. Some of the outreach programs offered by Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church are Habitat for Humanity, Helping Up Mission (for the homeless and addicted), Cold Weather Shelter, Gulf Coast Mission and Bethel Free Health Clinic. Although CMPC faithfully serves nonmembers, they love and care for their own. "Fun, fellowship and faith" is a great description of Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Atholton Adventist Academy

Atholton Adventist School is a private co-ed school that is affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist movement. The school sits in an excluded area off Martin Road. It has 184 students with a teacher-student ration of 1 to 12. Each year the school holds several festive well-attended events, such as a wreath and Christmas tree sale that are open to the community.

The church currently serves others through its involvement with organizations such as FISH, Community Action Council and more.
