J. Gibson McIlvain Company, established in 1798, is a distribution and wholesale company with 7 million board feet of North American and imported hardwood lumber in stock. With inventory being kiln dried in Connecticut and Maryland, the company has a complete range of species to serve the domestic United States market and export market.It has a brokerage company as well, which can supply truckload quantities on a mill direct basis. J. Gibson McIlvain Company operates two offices, including a location in Perry Hall, Md. It also has an office in Bolivia to ensure that its South American species are graded properly for shipments to the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.
