Founded in 1918, Montgomery General Hospital is a more than 145-bed, nonprofit community medical facility that serves the residents of Montgomery, Frederick, Howard and Carroll counties in Maryland. The hospital provides treatment related to cardiology, diabetes, orthopedic, pediatric, neurology, oncology, gastroenterology and gynecology. Its cancer center offers a range of services and resources for the diagnosis, treatment and support of patients. Montgomery General Hospital offers inpatient, as well as outpatient laboratory services provided by pathologists, medical technologists and histotechnologists. Its laboratory staff is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. The hospital operates an addiction and mental health center that provides community educational, crisis intervention, adolescent inpatient care, diagnosis, medication management and medical detoxification services.
