A member of the Wootton cluster, Frost Middle School takes a collaborative approach to learning. Students, parents and teachers are each accountable for the intellectual, emotional and social development of students.

Frost offers a variety of intervention programs to support student learning including tutoring from residents of the neighboring National Lutheran Home & Village.

The school's special education curriculum includes a Learning and Academic Disabilities program.

Sequoyah Elementary

The purpose of the PTA is to support the mission and objectives of Sequoyah Elementary School in Derwood, Maryland. The many parent, teacher, and staff members of our PTA contribute their time and talents to enrich the Sequoyah Community and, above all, provide a positive environment in which our children can develop into productive citizens.Every new school year brings new families to the Sequoyah community. For those families that are new to the area, moving brings many new joys but also many new stressors. Joining the PTA and becoming part of the school community can help to provide families with a support system and new friendships. Sequoyah is not just a school ; it is a community of family and staff that promotes respect, communication, and acceptance.

Ritchie Park Elementary School

A member of the Richard Montgomery cluster along with Beall, College Gardens and Twinbrook elementary schools, Ritchie Park's motto is "Success--nothing less!" The diverse student body includes students from 28 countries who speak 25 different languages. Students take a "Panther Pledge" to show respect, responsibility, caring, cooperation, honesty and moral courage. The school's mission focuses on fostering academic achievement, independent thinking and "growth through the arts" through parental and community involvement in student learning. The school is named for its proximity to a once proposed path for Ritchie Parkway, which was envisioned as a Rockville beltway. Albert C. Ritchie served as Maryland's 49th governor, from 1920 to 1935, and was once considered for the Democratic nomination for president.
