Affiliated with the Archdiocese of Washington, St. Mary's School seeks to foster a learning environment in which students build a relationship with Jesus Christ and use their gifts and talents to serve Him.
In addition to math, science, language arts and social studies, students in kindergarten and first grade learn simple prayers and Bible stories that build a foundation for their Catholic faith.
Students in grades 2 to 4 prepare for and receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation and memorize Catholic prayers.
Departmentalization of subject matter begins in the fourth grade. Students compile writing portfolios that allow them to track their progress.
Students in fifth and sixth grade learn about the Old and New Testament and the Mass.
Students spend two years, beginning in seventh grade, in preparation for their confirmation in the Catholic church.
All students attend weekly mass.
