Way Station is a nonprofit organization that provides behavioral health and employment services to children, adolescents, adults and families. With more than 400 employees, the organization serves over 7,000 individuals. Its National Education Center offers programmatic consultation in partnership with George Washington University Center for health policy research to nearly 200 government and private disability agencies. Founded in 1978, Way Station provides child and adolescent, community employment, day psychiatric rehabilitation and detention center mental health programs. The organization offers fieldwork training to advanced degree human service students throughout the United States through formal affiliations with more than 85 colleges and universities. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
