Specializing in custom lighting fixtures and housewares, the aim of Quantum Design is to mesh functionality with fine art. Working with each client individually, designer and fabricator David Tonnesen has produced pieces such as menorahs, lighting sculptures and chandeliers for restaurants and private homes, as well as a large codfish statue displayed prominently on Boston's waterfront area.
