History
The organization was originally created as a personal photography project in response to media focus on conflict regarding politics, religion, race, and sexuality. After major exhibits and thousands of participants, the nonprofit was created to continue the message of looking at a person's actions rather than their labels and to help people learn and find commonality with people that may seem so different at first glance.
Specialties
We're a nonprofit organization that uses art, humour, and conversation to challenge stereotypes and help people find commonality and understanding despite their differences. For photo shoot events, each participant is photographed posing as the Three Wise Monkeys: See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil; picks three labels that describe themselves such as race, religion, politics, sexuality, mental & physical health, hobbies, or favorite sports teams; and writes a good thing they've done to challenge negative stereotypes people may have about those labels. We work with companies for team building events, colleges around diversity, high schools as a social-emotional educational program, and festivals of all kinds.
