Meritage Hospitality Group is the only publicly traded Wendy s Old Fashioned Hamburgers restaurant franchisee and the first O Charley s restaurant franchisee. Meritage operates more than 45 Wendy s restaurants in western and southern Michigan, serving more than 9 million customers annually. On average, Meritage opened a new Wendy s restaurant every eight weeks from 1999 through 2003, making it one of the fastest-growing franchisees within the Wendy s franchise system. In 2004, Meritage entered into a multi-unit development agreement with casual-service restaurant franchiser O Charley s.
