The Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association, also known as MWCIA, is a nonprofit, data service organization that collects policy, claims and financial data from member insurers who are licensed to sell workers' compensation insurance in Minnesota. It also provides underwriting and related services on behalf of the Minnesota Assigned Risk Plan. In collaboration with other independent state organizations, the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association develops data collecting and reporting software, as well as enhances procedures and policies to collect and report workers' compensation information. Additionally, it administers the Minnesota Contractors Premium Adjustment Program (MCPAP), which includes premium credit for up to one year for a policy that contains one or more contracting classifications. The Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association is located in Minneapolis.
