The MN Department of Natural Resources works towards sustainable development by balancing human needs and natural systems to ensure the needs of present generations are met without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Its natural resources include forest lands, rivers, rare plant and animal species, mineral deposits and parks. Additionally, the department operates ecological resources, fish and wildlife, parks and recreation, forestry and enforcement divisions. With one of its locations in Grand Rapids, Minn., the MN Department of Natural Resources maintains multiple offices throughout the United States.
