Wirth Golf Club is one of the oldest public courses in the state and is the oldest gold course west of the Mississippi. The front nine is set around Bassett Creek with manmade lagoons to enhance the challenge. There are great views of the Minneapolis skyline visible from the course. The back nine offers completely different challenges with its rolling hills and mature trees and is a good test of anyone's golfing skills and patience.
The clubhouse, built in 1921, is modeled after a Swiss Chalet. The lower level serves as the clubhouse, while the upper level is reserved for rentals such as wedding receptions and various other parties of 150 people or less.
