The Chatham Law Firm has been a leader in serving individuals and families in North Mississippi since the firm was founded by Gerald Weissinger Chatham in 1932. A native son of Hernando, Mr. Chatham served in the Mississippi House of Representatives, as Desoto County Prosecuting Attorney, Desoto County Superintendent of Education, District Attorney for the 17th Judicial District, and on the Board of Trustees for the University of Mississippi. As District Attorney, Mr. Chatham prosecuted the defendants in the infamous Emmett Till murder trial, answering the call of duty and presenting a thorough and vigorous case at trial under difficult circumstances.
