Koechner MFG. Co., INC Koechner Mfg. Co., Inc, was started in 1960 by Cecil Koechner. He started the business in his father's chicken house by building farrowing crates and picnic table frames. The turkey coop production was the result of shear accident and knew there had to be a better way to load birds. Cecil started off building a loader. Within a short time the farmers and drivers were assisting Cecil with the plans to haul the birds easier. Cecil retired in 1996 when his son Mark took over the business. Mark is the oldest of six children. All of Cecil and Mark's children have had the opportunity to work in the shop. Mark has worked every job in the shop from bending rings to painting coops. He has worked on many different coop designs with companies such as Sara Lee, Jennie-O Foods, West Liberty Foods, Prestage Farms, Nicholas Turkeys, and Cargill, as well as several other customers. Cecil and Mark have over 75 years of experience in building turkey coops. They have been, and still are, in the field to learn more about building a better coop. When you call to speak with the sales department, you will speak with Mark. He is in charge of what is going on in the shop from building, loading, or repairing coops. Koechner is a "hands on" company. The shop crew has over 50 years of experience in building and repairing turkey coops. Koechner repairs its own coops as well as competitors' coops. This experience gives the company a better feel for what it takes to build a better coop. Koechner's designed the first multi-level poult mover to haul your poults for on-farm operations. Koechner's is always on the cutting edge of the turkey industry to make your turkey moving easier and more efficient.
