The Veterans Health Administration operates integrated VA medical centers in the United States. There are 153 medical centers, community-based outpatient clinics, community living centers, vet Centers and domiciliaries in the Veterans Health Administration. The medical centers provide a range of services, including traditional hospital based services, such as surgery, critical care, mental health, orthopedics, pharmacy, radiology and physical therapy, and more. The additional medical and surgical specialty services include audiology and speech pathology, dermatology, dental, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, podiatry, prosthetics, urology and vision care. Some medical centers also offer advanced services, such as organ transplantations and plastic surgery. It also offers services to women veterans, returning members, mental health and polytrauma.
