The Freemasons are the oldest fraternal organization in the world, having been established in New Hampshire in 1735. It is devoted to a wide variety of charitable and educational causes, including local scholarships, support for hospitals, combating drugs abuse and assistance for those less fortunate. This lodge, which goes by the name Spicket Lodge (No. 85), holds its meetings on the second Thursday of each month, except in July and August. The facility occupies the second floor of the building at 107 Main Street.
