The New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development was established by the General Court of New Hampshire. It is comprised of parks and recreation and economic development divisions. The department operates a division of forests and land that works to protect trees through the management of resources and by providing forest resource information and education to the public. The New Hampshire Department of Resources and Economic Development additionally maintains a division of travel and tourism development that works to develop and promote New Hampshire as a domestic and international travel destination and preferred location to increase visitation, expenditures, business activities and employment throughout the state. It also offers various employment opportunities to citizens. The department is located in Concord, N.H.
