Anshei Lubavitch -- an affiliate of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch Hassidic movement -- was formed through a merger of three synagogues: United Brotherhood Congregation of Paterson, Congregation Linath Hatzedek and Congregation Anshei Lubavitch. The congregation moved to Fair Lawn in 1985.
Specializing in outreach, the synagogue is open to Jews of all backgrounds and has services that are led in Hebrew and in accordance with the Orthodox tradition, but also with English commentary to make them understandable and educational for beginners.
Besides for various communal education, holiday and social programming, Anshei Lubavitch runs a preschool with more than 150 children and a daycamp with more than 200.
