Dr. Gorscak has 30 years experience in the mental health field. She has worked with bereaved people dealing with various traumatic losses for over 20 years, providing compassionate guidance to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, as well as those with complicated grief. Dr. Gorscak also offers individual therapy for adults suffering from non-death related losses (divorce, loss of job or home, etc.), low self esteem, relationship struggles, and other challenging life transitions. She is certified in Relationship Enhancement couples therapy, which is a communication-based skills approach, aimed towards building on a couples' unique strengths, while providing tools for more successful resolution of conflict. As the Director of Clinical Training at the Center for Complicated Grief at Columbia University, she has provided training workshops for clinicians locally and internationally in an evidence-based, efficacious treatment for complicated grief.
