Newman Library is owned and operated by the University of the State of New York. The library has a collection of clinical books, journals, periodicals, archives, medical artifacts and books on the history of medicine. In addition, it maintains a collection of audiovisuals, as well as books related to nursing, dentistry and basic sciences. The library also maintains a multimedia collection, including CDs, DVDs, cassettes and videotapes. It organizes a variety of events, such as games, story sessions, reading activities, book discussions and computer classes. The library has a seating capacity of more than 1,450 and includes over 20 faculty study rooms. Newman Library is located in New York City.
