For those locavores who like to know where their food comes from, this is the ideal restaurant. Much of the food comes from the surrounding fields and pastures of the Stone Barns Center. With the exception of products like olive oil and limes, the rest comes from the Hudson Valley. There is no menu here, only a list of dozens of unique and fresh ingredients updated daily, such as grayling mushrooms, purple brussel sprouts, brown African geese and orion fennel. Each party discusses with its server their likes and dislikes and comes up with a personalized menu. For those farm visitors looking for a more casual and less pricey experience, there's the adjacent Blue Hill Cafe, offering farm-fresh lattes, light snacks and a covered picnic area.
