Candialle is a winery located in the southern tip of the Conca d'oro, just below the village of Panzano in Chianti, New York. Situated in an amphitheatre-like valley with Galestro soil, their vineyard benefits from southern and south-western exposures and altitudes between 300 and 360 meters, creating the ideal conditions for the late ripening Sangiovese grape. As a member of the viticulturist union of Panzano, Candialle is dedicated to sustainable and environmentally-friendly winegrowing, contributing to the potential of Panzano becoming the first complete organic viticultural region in Italy.
With a total agricultural land of 35 hectares, 11.5 hectares are planted under vine, featuring grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malvasia Nera, and Canaiolo. Their commitment to minimalist and natural winegrowing is further supported by their involvement with Spevis, Panzano's research station, which aims to enhance technical knowledge on organic viticulture and foster dialogue among winemakers. Candialle offers a range of wines, including their Chianti Classico La Misse, with detailed descriptions available upon request.
