History
Antonio and Maddalena Carusone, two Italian immigrants from Bellona, Italy, came to Brooklyn in search of a better life for their family. In 1957, they opened Angelo's Pizza, the very first pizzeria in Astoria, NY. For over 25 years they made the best tasting pizza, along with their children Lina, Dino and Gianni, and their son-in-law Ugo. In 1983, they moved the pizzeria across the street and renamed it Dino's Pizza. By then, Antonio and Maddalena were ready to retire, so they passed the business to their children, Dino and Lina. The pizzeria is now owned and operated by Dino's two sons, Bruno and Giancarlo, who are keeping the tradition of making great tasting food using quality ingredients.
