The Everson is a museum of firsts. It was the first museum to dedicate itself to the collection of American art, to create a permanent collection of ceramics, to collect video art, to create a docent program and to hire the now internationally known architect I.M. Pei to design its building, a sculptural work of art in its own right. The Everson is home to more than 10,000 works of art: American paintings, sculpture, drawings, video, graphics and one of the largest holdings of international ceramics in the nation. Not only are there ever-changing exhibitions by intriguing artists, but classes, workshops, art camps for the kids, events such as the Festival of Trees & Light, performances by award-winning talent, unique social activities, community-inspired performances and events, and even an interactive cafe coming soon! So much to see, so much to do. The Everson Museum is located in downtown Syracuse, NY, right across from the Oncenter. We invite you to visit us soon! Thank you.
