Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities, located in New York City, was founded in 1983. It offers college preparatory courses and emphasizes on the humanities and also offers various science courses. The various courses offered include English, social studies, mathematics, science, foreign language and linguistic lessons, English as second language and health and physical education. The school also provides computer literacy, study of art and music and physical sciences. Its students participate in various community services as well. In addition, Bayard Rustin High School for the Humanities features community service and internship programs, a formal linkage program to Channel 13, distance learning programs, and advanced studies available through advanced placement courses and college.
