Ad Council is a producer of public services advertisements and was founded in 1942. It is a nonprofit organization. The organization distributes and promotes thousands of public service campaigns on behalf of government agencies on various areas, such as improving the quality of life for children, prevent health, education, community well-being, environmental preservation and strengthening families. It has memberships with the Action for Healthy Kids, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the American Council for Fitness and Nutrition, the American Dietetic Association Foundation and the National Governors Association.
