History

Grandmaster Sam Kim opened the first Master Kim's Taekwondo School in the capital district area in 1977. In 1990 Grandmaster Sam Kim and Master Sung Kim opened the first of three Rochester, New York locations. Master Kim's Taekwondo Institute is currently the largest martial arts program in Monroe County and was voted by the Rochester community as the Best Martial Arts Studio (Rochester Rocs WHEC 10). Our locations are in Penfield (Panorama Plaza), Greece (next to JoAnn Fabrics) and Irondequoit (Culver Ridge Plaza).
