Pauline P. Fu, DPM, FACFAS
Foot and ankles are some of the most complex and constantly impacted areas of the human body. Each foot is made up of 28 bones, 30 joints and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, all of which work together to provide support, balance and mobility. This often leads to frequent injuries that are misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Getting the right medical care is critical for returning to the activities you love. Dr. Fu provides expert diagnosis and leads a multidisciplinary approach to treat the broad range of foot and ankle conditions that can occur at any stage of life, from newborn to teen years and from active adults to seniors. Dr. Pauline Fu is a board-certified podiatrist associated with NYU Langone Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital specializing in helping people return to their pre-injury level of activity, whether that is marathoners, walking for exercise, or merely fitting into regular shoe gear. Dr. Fu is an expert in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle, with a focus on surgical reconstruction of the human foot using state of the arts techniques. She also repairs tendon tears, foot and ankle traumatic injuries, deformities, arthritis, joint implants, and is an expert on minimally invasive bunion correction, Lapiplasty bunion corrections, Class IV laser therapy, and Platelet Rich Plasma “PRP” injections. Other areas of Dr. Fu’s expertise are custom functional orthotics with gait analysis, laser verruca (wart) and fungal nails therapy, and regenerative medicine and injections.
