The New York Center for Interpersonal Development founded in 1970 and based in Staten Island, N.Y., offers a range of services to the people of the region. The organization provides youth, community and professional development programs and dispute resolution services that educate and inform about constructive problem solving, effective communication, violence prevention, and intercultural awareness. It helps individuals, families, and organizations discover solutions that are mutually agreeable and enduring. The center offers training for attorneys, law enforcement professionals, social workers, counselors, corporate staff and volunteers. The participants learn a variety of conflict resolution techniques and can further expand their skills through continuing education and volunteer service.
