HistoryIn 2011, Brookfield began a $250-million renovation to Brookfield Place (formerly known as the World Financial Center) to transform the retail and public space into a world-class shopping and dining experience with a curated fashion collection, a European-style marketplace, waterfront dining and exceptional chef-driven restaurants. In 2013, a new glass entry pavilion opened, linking Brookfield Place to the WTC Transit Hub and soon, the Fulton Street Transit Hub. In June 2014, the second component, Hudson Eats, an upscale dining terrace overlooking the Hudson River, opened, featuring fast-casual concepts from 14 chef-driven eateries.
