The Pederson-Krag Center is one of the largest nonprofit outpatient behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment facilities in Long Island, N.Y. Founded in 1957, the center maintains more than five facilities that offer medical treatments to over 4,000 patients every month. It conducts chemical dependency outpatient programs that are licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. The center offers an array of therapeutic services, including psychotherapy and group therapy. It offers treatment services through a team of doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and case managers. With other facilities in Huntington, St. James, Wyandanch, Setauket and Yaphank, N.Y., the Pederson-Krag Center maintains a presence in Smithtown, N.Y.
